Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Curiosity ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Curiosity ("we", "us", "our").

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.

3. The Service

Curiosity is an AI-powered adaptive learning platform. We use large language models (LLMs) to generate educational content tailored to your knowledge level. Content is generated by AI and may occasionally contain inaccuracies. The Service is provided for educational purposes and should not be relied upon as a sole source of professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.

4. Plans and pricing

  • Free plan: Limited to 1 active topic and 3 lessons per week. No credit card required.
  • Pro plan: Unlimited topics and lessons. Billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page.
  • Lifetime plan: One-time payment for permanent Pro access. Limited availability.

All prices are in USD. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

5. Billing and payment

  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
  • Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

6. Refund policy

  • Monthly Pro: No refunds for partial months. Cancel any time to stop future charges.
  • Annual Pro: Full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not generated more than 10 lessons. After 14 days, no refund but you keep access until the end of your billing period.
  • Lifetime: Full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not generated more than 10 lessons. After 14 days, no refund.

To request a refund, email support@curiositybyade.com with your account email and reason.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the Service.
  • Share your account credentials with others.
  • Resell or redistribute generated content commercially without permission.
  • Circumvent usage limits or billing.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual property

  • Your content: You retain ownership of topics you submit and any notes you create.
  • Generated content: AI-generated lessons, questions, and revision cards are licensed to you for personal educational use. You may not resell them.
  • Our platform: The Curiosity platform, branding, and code are our intellectual property.

9. Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Availability and warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for any loss arising from the use of AI-generated educational content.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
